Am I right in thinking that some posts have been removed from this thread? What was the problem? As far as I recall they were from Hertford people commenting about a Hertford band playing in a Hertford venue and having shot photos for their website in a Hertford location?

I also think you have been harsh, Admin. I was finding the thread useful and interesting - I learnt about a local band, who obviously take an interest in their locality and are local people. I was getting feedback from people that had seen them play previously, and an insight into the humour of the band members themselves. Although I like heavy rock, I wouldn't normally have gone to see them play because so often these bands take themselves too seriously, try too hard to be hard, and end up looking stupid. I get the impression that although loud and weird, they are actually in it for fun and are a bit tongue in cheek. It was a shameless plug, may be, but I'm going to go.[}:)]

Community information post: History Of Guns are Hertford lads, who love a bit of Hertford. They live, shop and drink in Hertford. They often talk about Hertford related issues (though they sometimes mention close by other Herts-based towns, but only when pointing out that they're not as good as Hertford). They've written songs about Hertford and they all want to die in Hertford. If ever Hertford were to enter the Eurovision song contest, then History Of Guns would surely be the peoples choice to represent that town of towns, known around the globe as Brilliant Hertford. They also once won a Battle Of The Bands on the radio station most local to Hertford, Hertbeat FM.

I know I'm losing the plot as I'm getting more senile as the years pass by [:(] but I was there last year - rushed back from Holiday - Melonfinger were playing, there was Mad Mike and Bel with the Thai food. Maybe it was something else but had just got new 'phone and first use was the Video bit. Remember having a problem parking. Wish 'phone hadn't been nicked then I'd still have the film. Maybe it was something else there - can anyone help [:)][?]

went to marquee to listen to history of guns!!!! I have to say I thought they were EXCELLENT!!!! I know its not every ones type of music and they do pump up the speed for the stage act!(got a couple of down loads)..I can honestly say they totally blew me away [:D] loved it! cant wait to see them live again! will be checking out your web site for future gig dates.. post industrial goth meets rock punk would be an apt description.[:D] Gini
