Photo reqd: School in Bengeo Street.
This school was demolished in about 1980 but I require an old photo of same as several members of my own family attended from 1905 onwards.If anyone can help in this respect it would be most helpful
as I am trying to fill in the lost details for the family tree.[8D]

Yes I have one if you e mail me via my profile I can e-mail it to you.
I also have the school master house that stood behind it, just got that this week. That was demolished long before the main buildings

Is that the school where Mansfield Court is now? I had no idea it was demolished that late. (Moved here in '88 so still a newcomer)

You could be right as I lived abroad for most of the 1975/83 so was out of touch with local events.

Think it was possibly the 1970's it was demolished but I can check.
It was still in use as the Junior School when I went up to 1966 and just the Infants were in The Avenue but by the time my sister went to junior school it had all moved to The Avenue c1970
