Art and Photography Exhibition- St Leonards Church
Art and Photography Exhibition, St Leonard's Church, Bengeo
August 25th, 26th and 27th 10am to 5 pm daily
To raise funds for the church to have toilet facilities put in.

I went today after a recommendation. It is amazing to think that this church is nearly 1000 years old and is so well looked after.
You can't see all of the church as the eastern end is closed off but the stained glass windows can be seen.
Some lovely photos, paintings and local gifts to buy.
Plus - You can take photographs inside the church.

Glad you enjoyed it.I think there is a good mix of things there and all local people. From paintings to water colour's to photography and all sorts of textiles and emboidery, something to please everyone I think.

Wish l'd heard about this earlier as l would have liked to get along there.
l remember going in there back in the 70's soon after they had uncovered the wall paintings l think. Beautiful place.

It is on today 10 am to 5 pm but the church is open every weekend in the summer 2 till 5 so you can go any Saturday or Sunday afternoon just to see inside the church.

We went yesterday and it was a great little exhibition. Some amazing textiles and embroidery and some great photos too. We bought one of the prints of the drawing of Hertford town centre.

Just to correct my earlier info it is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons 2.30pm to 5pm until the end of September
