Car Attacks throughout Hertford
The weekend of 22/23rd Sept and last night 27th Sept several cars in Hertingfordbury, West St and Bengeo have been attacked.
Body panels kicked in, Windscreens smashed etc. Several cars have been attached twice after being repaired after the first attack.
Police are on the case, but please be vigilant and keep an eye on your and your neighbors cars.
Let's help the police catch these 'people' and bring them to justice.

Cars on Hartham lane were also attacked. Huge amounts of damage to the cars as they seem to have been used as trampolines.

Just re-reading this thread.. My friend (female) got attacked that night in hertford by person/s unknown throwing whole eggs at her and others.. wonder if these "people" were the same one who escalated their crimes onto the cars?? Have we got any further to apprehending these villains yet? After all I pay a lot of Council tax for CCTV cameras everywhere and they must have been picked up on one of them surely????? Any answers to this gratefully received.

I had a call from the Police, and I quote "We don't know who done it so theres nothing else we can do". So don't hold your breath.

When I lived here in 2009 (Conrads Yard in Cowbridge) some yobs came in and slashed the tyres of all the cars there. I saw it and called the Police. Had to persuade the officer who arrived (promptly) that the tyres were actually hissing and letting out air, he didn't seem to believe me. Next morning I was proven right and most of our neighbours couldn't get to work.
What is it with car crime in this area? We lived in Shepherds Bush and there was not this type of crime, there was plenty of crime mind you, but car vandalism wasn't part of it!
