To be fair there were contractors working on the approach to Rush Green about 3-4 weeks ago, looking like they were pumping out the drains. I don't recall any recent flooding since then but I don't always head out in that direction.

I raised a concern about this in a different forum. If it continues, how long will it be before a commuter, running late for a train, runs across the roundabout (outside HN) and gets knocked over? Surely there must be a HSE legislation covering pedestrian crossing safety. Or perhaps, seeing how effective a petition was at stopping the Bengeo parking scheme, a petition would raise the profile of this hazard to the point where they will redesign the HN crossing. P.s. If it doesn't directly affect motor traffic flow the council aren't interested. I raised a concern to the council two years ago about the quality (or lack of) of the cycle lane on North Road, particularly the bit that puts cyclists on the left of left-turning traffic as it crosses the mini roundabout outside the station. I'm still waiting to hear back.

It was flooded yesterday. So much so it was nearly creeping into Hertford North Station as cars went through it.

Its been doing this for over 10 years now and almost flooding into the concourse when traffic goes through the floodwater... It all started when they re-jigged the pedestrian crossing and changed the drains there.. It doesn't take much to flood at all and I think its disgraceful to all pedestrians, the show and station concourse and also drivers.. what happens if we need an emergency vehicle? Its about time someone was brought to task to get this fixed.. its probably down to inadequate drainage and leaves stuck in what drains there are and never cleared out.
