Deja Vu
Went here for the first time and thought I would comment about how good it is. Everything tastes really fresh and they fill the sandwich/wrap/baguette etc well. Good prices as well. Much better than any packaged sandwich.

Deja Vu in hertford?? couldn't agree less. the last time i went in, I had to wait for the staff to finish their conversation before serving me. I asked for a sandwich, she went to the fridge and "sniffed" the filling in question before saying "i think it smells ok". I left at that point and haven't returned. Shoddy service, unfriendly staff and not that cheap either.

I don't think Bengeobabe's experience is typical. I go there for lunch if I'm working at home and want to pop into town for a lunchbreak. It's consistently been ace and generally I agree with Gemma.

.....Contrary to my experiences which have all been good. I am, however, inclined to look favourably on anything that is not Costanerobucks. Whilst not technically sophisticated the method for verifying the freshness of fillings at least demonstrates a type of quality control [;)]

Maybe I was lucky as I was there in the morning so they had just put everything out and knew it was fresh!

we gave up getting lunch there months ago, they consistently missed some of the fillings. I do not eat meat, therefore always chose a vegetarian option, but someone on a couple of occasions, decided to put chicken in my wrap, by the time you walk all the way back to change it, lunchtime is over. I get the impression, they thought I was making a fuss!! Lunch now is prepared at home or purchased from Roses.
