HFN waiting room
HFN waiting room
Hello all.
Wondered if any of you informed folk had any info re. the lack of waiting room at HFN station which is now being used as a staff room?
Am about to make further enquiries - thought I should start here.

The signage says there are waiting facilities on Platform 1 but that is just the hut over there.
To be fair, it is only an issue in the Winter and Hertford East doesnt have one (at least I don't think so). Ware has a nice one but might only be open when the cafe is open.
When I have been delayed, I have treated myself to a coffee in the little shop/cafe on the ground floor, just a pain to get there from the platforms if the delay is not that long.

HFN waiting room - UPDATE 26.02.13
Having spoken to FCAPConnect advisor, they, not I of course, were able to speak directly with the station.
I was advised that the original drivers waiting room was to be refurbished so the passenger waiting room was requisitioned for use during the renovation. This work, however, has never begun and, furthermore, the station advises there is now no timeline/due date for this work to be started.... Oh dear.
I mentioned this wasn't a particularly valid reason to remove this provision from the paying public which was duly noted.
Complaint has been logged with FCAPConnect.
I await further fluster/justification with bated breath.
