"Bad Girls " - The Musical Comes to Hertford

HDOS are proud to present from 20-23 March at the Hertford Theatre "Bad Girls", based on the TV series it is set in the fictional HMP Larkhall and tells the story of the idealistic Wing Governor Helen Stewart whilst being entrenched by the old guard of Officer Jim Fenner and Sylvia Hollamby. It also tells the love story that develops between Nikki Wade and Helen and tells the stories of top dog Shell Dockley, her runner Denny Blood, Crystal Gordon and Yvonne Atkins. Come and see a show filled with many new and memorable songs plus a very earthy humour mixed with sadness. We make no apologies for occasional strong language used but we believe this is how a prison could be like. The production is not suitable for under 15s and the show is 2 hours with a 20 minute duration. This show was performed last June in our studio theatre and is currently nominated for an award for "Best Musical in 2012 for the Eastern England Region" which encompasses Norfolk, Suffolk, Herts, Essex, Beds and part of Bucks.. so don't miss this opportunity for a modern production coming to town.. Went to see this last June when they performed it at the studio theatre and it was fantastic. I would certainly recommend it.

Thank you very much Space Pirate, we move the set in on Sunday this weekend and are very excited. We hope our audiences will come and support us as its not everyday you have a potential 2012 Best Musical in Hertford!!!! Please note, Wednesday and Thursday are the nights when you get cheaper seats, so come along all of you and see the ladies of the prison entertain and thought-provoke you [:D]

Well Andy MC interesting point.. I believe members of her family know about this due to knowing a cast member. Cannot say Mrs B will be along.. but she'd be very welcome and would, I have no doubt enjoy herself immensely. Thank you Minnie and so glad you enjoyed it. We've had such lovely comments but would love to have more people in the seats. I know its snowing at the moment.. wouldn't you credit it, but cast and crew will be getting there tonight... so enjoy it and tell others its their last chance to see it.. thanks [:D]

Three of us went to see the show on Saturday night and it was amazing. We had a great time - great cast and some fantastic singing and dancing. We especially loved the Wing Governor, Ms Stewart - what an amazing voice!

We went on Wednesday. A tad dissapointed to overhear a conversation that the majority of the audience were there on free tickets due to the lack of interest on that day - especially as I'd paid !
Agree with all the comments. Much better than we expected.
The two Julies were great as was whever played the warden & really liked the "baddies" easpecially taken with the boos at the curtion call.
