Hertford Town FC vs Colney Heath
First let me start by saying what a fantastic battling performance by the lads to win the 6 pointer relegation tie against local rivals Hatfield yesterday. There is a link to an 18 minute video of the match highlights on our web site ( in the twitter feed on right hand side):

We played in our red and black away strip. Even though we were away - the noise was all coming from our fans.....best fans in the league!
Next home match is at 7:45pm Tuesday evening against Colney Heath. Why not Wrap up warm and come and support the blues.......be part of the best fans in the league.

Missed out on the tea.
I could only make the first half due to family commitments arising. But there was great banter, good fun and very good and competitive football.

I saw my second game in two weeks last night. I thought HT were lucky to be only one down at half time, but were unlucky not to get three or four goals in the second.
I like the "we've got more ghosts than you" chant, but I still struggle to listen to the players shouting 'f'as their adjective of choice, the CH number four must have used it about one in five words last night.
I will go again, but I still wouldn't take a 10 year old.

The foul mouthed centre back was Glen Draper from the Colney Heath team. I gather he is a former Hertford Town player.
I think you will agree that our players were actually very well behaved. We are in a crucial relegation battle and the players are clearly very passionate and giving 100% yet have not had a single booking in the last 2 games.
We had our own discipline problems earlier in the season but have taken action to improve and have a really honest and good spirited bunch of players. I would go further and say our players were role models last night in terms of hard work, teamwork and encouraging each other.

I agree, they did show good qualities, they also went to thank the 'Blue Army' supporters, a good spirit seems to be forming at the club.
