I second that, Hertford Glass on Talbot Street. I used to live round there. Great firm, good high quality products and reliable. They are in the book as they say....

Clearview2000, also in Hertford did mine 2 years ago. Both them and Hertford Glass (who i got a quote from) didn't do the hard sell and sign up today scam, but measured up, discussed designs etc and had a quote in the post within a few days. I found Hertford glass to be a bunch of cowboys. They offer a warranty on windows, but want a £50 admin charge to change the warranty when the house is sold on! I asked the MD (who ingored my calls for 2 weeks) what admin was involved, and why a warranty doesn't stay with the product, not the owner, and he bascially said he wouldn't refuse to answer it! When I phoned for a quote, they were very professional. Installation is very professional. Aftercare service is non existent. This time round (I just replaced the faulty Hertford glass windows) with new ones, I got them at half the price elswhere. Simply gather a few quotes. Hertford glass wanted £4,800. I got it done for £2,600.

Windowman replaced all the windows in my 30's semi and was very good and also one of the cheapest quotes. That was about a year and a half ago. Don't suppose they've changed much since.
