Nothing cold in Sainsburys on blazing Saturday!
We went to Sainsbury's on Saturday afternoon and all the chiller and frozen cabinets were shuttered off, broken I presume.
We were warned by a leaving customer of the situation. There were no announcements or staff explaining/apologising (although they were polite and helpful (except they couldn't do much about it) when we saw someone ask). You would have thought they would have had people on the door explaining considering half of the shop was shut!
Obviously it wasn't good for people popping in for something cold on the hottest day of the year so far.
I hope it's fixed...

I heard they had a powercut on Saturday afternoon.

Yes, they were running on backup generators when I went in. Not enough to keep the coolers and freezers going though I'd imagine.

To be fair, there were constant announcements and it looked like a case of all hands to the fridges when the power went down, there was a hell of a lot of food to shift!
My main thought was that it wasn't all going to go to waste!
