Famous Groups who have played in Hertford
I was talking to a Hertford hedgehog friend of mine recenetly about famous (now) groups who once played in Hertford. He mentioned:
The Who (or High Numbers as they were then) at the Corn Exchange in the early 60s.
Queen at Balls Park in the early 70s.
Anyone know of any others?

Strange!!! my reply was deleted[nothing new there]as a matter of fact Admin HISTORY OF GUNS are the biggest band on the so called underground sean!they sell world wide and are out stripping the likes of the Nephilim,Alien sex fiend,Bauhaus...i could go on and on!!with out being rude,i know its not Top of the Pops but on the underground they are infomous.[sorry but its a fact..look it up if you are a hethen][xx(][xx(][}:)][8D]

billy bragg played balls park around 1982 this was when hatfield poly use to have live bands .anyone go to what has gone down in british music history as one of the most violent gigs of all time when the two tone tour{the specials,madness and the selector}played hatfield in 1979?

The Cars (who? I hear u say!) at Balls Park a million years ago!
And I saw the singer out of Mudd (of Tiger Feet & such other classics)getting off a train at Hertford East in the mid 70's. He waved to me and I was made up for a week - was easily pleased in those golden days! Oh yes, it's all coming back now - went to see the Rollers (appearing not playing) at Ware FC and gave me autograph book in and it never came out so I got invited in and got a signed photo!!! Probably still got it somewhere -- sad I know!
