Which pub for England match tonight?
On increasingly rare nights out I normally go to OXT or Barge. However friend wants to watch England match tonight so which pub with decent atmosphere and decent beer?

The Black Horse has become an excellent pub during the last year or so. A really friendly place.

OK - Ram for a decent seat and not too bad beer with decent size TVs - alternatively the Haig or the Black Horse. For a bit livelier atmosphere the White Hart is sometimes quite full when there's football on TV although as its a Tuesday it may be fairly quiet everywhere.

What he said. Also, Haig and Ram are McMullens. Black Horse is a free house and serves real ale. If you have a CAMRA card it's only £3.10 a pint which certainly beats OXT and Barge.

And I can say The Barge won't have it on. Paul might well put it on in the White Horse cos it's ITV buy Rachel's post probably points the way....

Yes - it wasn't quite the same as the "glorious draw" in Rome all those years ago.
