Selfish driver who blocked the pavement - North Rd
On the way to Hertford North this morning a black Range Rover was parked outside the new development completely blocking the pavement. It was at an angle and right up to the vehicle parked in front so the only way past it was to walk in the road or cross the road twice.
Usually vans are parked there at this time but always with some consideration.
A group of schoolchildren walking from the train station side towards the town all had to walk into the road.
Selfish.
I couldn’t see anyone who might be the owner, just builders and had to get off for the train otherwise I’d have said something.
Does anyone know who the developer is?

Range Rover? - the privellage of parking anywhere at all comes with ownership of the vehicle. After all, if you're sold a vehicle that you can drive anywhere at all, it stands to reason that you should be able to park it anywhere at all.

It doesn't matter if you've earned the right to a big car or not, you still have to obey the rules of the road and parking like the rest of us. Its about being considerate.. which maybe this person wasn't by the sounds of it.... still if he continues to park like a numpty maybe someone will take his wing mirror off or scratch the side of the car!!!!

We are having problems with the builders (Celebration Developments) parking in Cedar Close, before 10am! They never get a ticket, although cars parking here often do. When I asked the traffic enforcement officer, why the builders never get a ticket, his reply was "the yellow lines need repainting, so until they are clearer, they can carry on!"
I'm sure the officers feel intimidated by the builders, as cars parking in the same place do get tickets.
They also park on the grass verge opposite the building works, and get away with it.
Seems very unfair to me.....
