Not Hertford I know but....
one of our most local cinemas
in The Galleria
went last Sunday
and although I feel £11.00 for a premier seat is Fair ish...
for a good film , on a big screen with excellent sound (we Saw Rush)
£2.50 to park in an outside car park with a long way to walk in pouring rain. is I think a Kin Liberty...[:0]
we shall be going to Harlow in future...
there got that off my chest....

agreed. We went during the week and ended up paying £6 parking, ridiculous. Whoever manages that site is insane - im surprised the retailers are not all up in arms over it.

Harlow is a 'no brainer' for me, shorter drive and park right outside for free!

I believe the parking used to be free some years ago. But perhaps it is attracting a higher footfall and so the owners feel able to charge for the parking. There are other things to keep the cost down........like never paying for a premier seat......there is often some free just before the film starts........and take your own drink or sweets for the kids if they want one.
I used to get the botteld water from the machine just outside the cinema entrance but found it was somewhat 'conveniently' broken a lot of the time. there's another machine in the Galleria or just take your own.

Depends what part of Hertford you live , Galleria over 2 miles closer for me .

I prefer Stevenage but not entirely sure why. I know it does have free parking and it sells popcorn which is the most overpriced product in the world but I just love it. Almost tempted to go and buy it without going to see a film which is sad.

Gave up on Stevenage when we had tickets booked to see a movie but spent so long trying to find a parking spot we missed the start of the film. Went to the pub instead.

The Galleria is much closer for me too. I think it's about nine minutes away. And Stevenage is a train journey away. The good thing about Stevenage is that children get the train straight there from Hertford North.

And comparitively the Galleria appears to be cheaper than Hertford.

Yes spot on , a well worn path . Stevenage the cinema of choice for Hertford kids .
