The planning application is just for change of use - hence the lack of any detailed documentation and the 'indicative' floorplans. In fact planning permission may not be required at all, but the developer is seeking clarification via this application.

It will be approximately 18 months before building will start which is why they have employed a parking firm for the car park. They have 60 car park spaces for 63 units which they are planning. I doubt it will have any impact on West Street as Pimlico Court hasn't.

It does even appear to be lower overall height than what was there before on the artist's sketches

Artist's sketches are often found to be lacking in perspective when it comes to building heights - locals are often found to be surprised once the buildings are finished!
Also surprised to see Elbert's building still there - I'd have though this was an ideal opportunity to sell this on?

I am also surprised elberts remains. would have made more sense to have included that bit too

They don't own that part of the site. You may recall the previous owner went into receivership.

sure; but given they went into receivership, wouldn't it therefore probably be pretty cheap and easy to get that part of the site? Maybe they tried and failed!

ah right - good research there Steve. I saw that mass of links and all I had time to look at were the photos/artwork! (And they downloaded excruciatingly slowly!)
