Lafarge Tarmac have made an application to build 8 eco-homes on the site of their redundant plant depot at the junction of Sacombe Road and Vicarage Lane, Waterford. This was previously called the Waterford Hamel but locals thought that name too pretentious. There is a suggestion that it was originally an army camp, munitions dump or similar.
