V and V chinese takeaway
YUCK, we had this last weekend due to last minute change of plans. Disgusting fatty (expensive) soggy crispy lamb, pancakes not cooked so stuck together in middle. I could go on (I know you know that) bloody awfull waste of money. Should have been patient and waited for a delivery from taste of the Orient which is always 1st class food. second time we have used V and V in 6 months last one was also a crap meal never again.

V and V is at Crouchfields Bengeo. I had a meal from there a couple of years ago after being recommended to me,I found it average,but edible. Much prefer Empire.[:)]

Do taste of the orient deliver in Hertford?
We always end up going to a Ware takeaway as not found one in Hertford we like. Would prefer a delivery if possible.

I suppose it depends where you are, they deliver to Bengeo other than that I don't know. Ring them and ask.

We get takeaways from Peking House in Fore Street and find the food really nice.

I get takeaways from the V and V every week and personally find their food very nice. They do an excellent spicy duck chow mein and beef with green pepper and black bean sauce with singapore vermicelli is also recommended.

I also get takeaways from them every week and have never found them to be any less than yummy, and the service is always friendly! Often get the crispy duck with pancakes with 'seaweed' and have never ever had an issue with the pancakes - or duck or seaweed or any other dish - in the ten years I've been buying food from them regularly.
Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with V&V Mrs T but that is the first poor review I've actually heard about them in ten years. I hope that if you ever venture back that it is better for you.

Each to their own. I have used them for 14 years but this year they have lost the plot and I know other people who say the same. Last week was their last chance for me. Perhaps they have changed hands?
And the crispy lamb portion has shrunk as the price has gone up.
