Don't wear a winter coat with a hood attached though, the bouncers will use it as an excuse to deny you late entry, calling it a "hoody" [:)]

Hi All, Just to try and fill a few gaps and answer some questions. The Cinnabarcafe has been open in Stevenage old town for almost 4 years proving to be very popular with a wide range of people. We do breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Teas, coffees and cocktails. We also host some of the best party nights around at the weekends. The one we have just proudly launched in Hertford is the second in a chain of venues. Each with there own unique style and offering. We are strict at the weekend to ensure a great atmosphere amongst our clientele in a safe and fun environment. Unfortunately that can occasionally tar the wrong person with the brush but the intentions are good and not meant to be malicious or to offend.. Just to be clear Cinnabarcafe is a completely different company to the one that owned Saloon before. We have retained many good staff members and some positive elements of the business. but I would like to reiterate that this is a new company making a fresh start in Hertford and are determined to prove all doubters wrong and serve this lovely town in the way it deserves. My thoughts entirely Steve, we have seen other venues in Hertford that have been "owned" by different Companys over the years and its often a new registered Co but ultimatelty the same owners/management who controls it. Nothing wrong with that per se but its just nice to make sure its clear.

Hi Steve/Frenchie The company that previously owned saloon was run by a group of several people all involved at different levels. What has changed is that one of those people has taken over the whole lot and started fresh with a new company. So yes, one person is still involved but instead of lots of people with lots of ideas and directions we now have one owner and a clear direction. I hope this clarifies the situation.

if the bouncers are anything like the ones at Stevenage, it doesn't surprise me. We, a collection of people 30+, were out on a company drinks in the outside area when a member of the door staff appeared and said to us "I've asked you lot 3 times now to move inside" to which we replied that we were quite happy to move inside, but this was the first time anyone had asked us. He then said that it was the last time he would ask and he had asked us 3 times already. when we said again that we would move inside, but he was wrong that he had asked us previously, the person who had challenged him - a woman - was grabbed by the throat and marched out of the side gate and dumped in the street. What nice men that place employs!!
