A few people complaining last night that they had to pay £5.00 to get in. The Stevenage one is Free Entry before 10.00pm does any one know if this is the case with the Hertford one.

Was wondering what has actually changed ? Is it just the name (again) or has the layout/offering changed ? Is it now a nightclub model with charging at the door ?

I will never understand why anyone would pay to go into a pub, especially in Hertford as it has plenty of other pubs on offer?

Two rules about pubs or bars: 1) Never pay to go into them; 2) Never queue to go into them. Glad to see that they're confident enough that they can get custom whilst charging admission even when both Saloon and Masters House before it did not charge and still closed down. Good luck to them, nonetheless.

Hi All Just a quick one to say that im here to answer any questions you may have. To cover some of the points already made. We do now charge £5 for entry on both Friday and Saturday nights after 10pm. It is of course free to come in beforehand. While it wasn't mentioned above, just incase anyone is wondering we are over 21's which we helps to provide a better atmosphere in a safe and fun environment where people can let there hair down. To be clear on one area of confusion the Cinnabarcafe is owned by a completely different company to the one that owned saloon. We have changed almost everything within the building that was possible to change, Saying that we kept some elements like the back bar as they where very nice features that we thought it would be a shame to loose. I would agree with the above comment of never paying to go into a pub. But the simple fact is that we are not a pub. In the day we are a coffee house and restaurant, then in the evenings we are a Cocktail bar and restaurant (all of which are free to enter) then in the late nights we turn into a full blown club serving premium quality cocktails wines and beers with some of the best Dj's around. I stress that it is FREE before 10pm. We come from a background of working hard, striving for what is right and always attempting to give the best possible service to the people that are kind enough to give us a go. The website doesn't show the company registration details, which is a requirement of The Companies Act 2006.

I'm struggling to see why the ownership of Cinnabar Cafe is the business of anyone other than the owners. What difference does it make and why are people so interested? The important thing is whether their offering is good and people like the venue, everything else is immaterial. Sorry, but that's my view anyway. Good to see something fresh and it looks a lot more warm and inviting versus the Saloon Bar.
