I know we've got a bee in our bonnets about the fact that we can't hold a Christmas candle to our arch rivals' Dickensian Evening but why are we diluting our attempts at promoting our town with two confusing and poorly advertised Christmas events? There's this one, which is featured on the front page of this website http://gohertford.co.uk/events/e/hertford-christmas-gala/ Then there's this one http://gohertford.co.uk/events/e/think-chrsitmas-think-hertford/ Is there a reason why they can't be combined into a big Xmas event like Ware have? To have a go at answering my own question and remembering the Health and Safety nightmare of illegal traders, angry drivers and drunken teens that our 1990s Medieval Night degenerated into, I'm guessing road closures and marshalling/security are easier in a smaller, one-street town like Ware.
