How crap can maangement be!
They budgeted an income from meters, before they approved them?! Thats simply stupid! No they want to try and charge elsewhere, simply to get out of a situation they put themselves in!

I would much rather parking meters put in if it keeps the price of car parks down, as I very rarely attempt to park on the road/streets. I dont understand the point when there is a multi story car park amongst others to use. Perhaps if more views on the subject can be collated on this thread, we can pass on to council? I see so far there has been little reaction to this news.

Exactly - budget for them first then they need to be installed to make up the shortfall.
I still notice some of the wardens going round in pairs and there appears to be a warden permenantly living in Bircherley Green Car Park - Yet people still think it is OK to park on the double yellow lines near the Sele Farm Shops and I haven't seen a parking attendent brave enough to venture up that way.

Good news about this. Worrying how the police are doing less and less yet our council tax police portion continues to rise

Absolute rhubarb. Do you think the police are sitting with their feet up at the police station scoffing buns and watching TV? Or maybe they're busy counting all the money they earn off motorists. Give them a break. They're defending the likes of you and I against criminal and antisocial scumbags.

If parking meters have been deferred, why has a (almost handmade) sign just appeared on a lamp post in Cowbridge saying that no parking will be allowed 8:00 a.m. 6:00p.m. in "parking bays" from the 28th July 2005?
What's going on here?
