Sitting here in my office in Tower Hill. No way that I know of to get home...so if anybody does know what is running please post it. We were told we could leave if we wanted...but where do you go on a day like this.

The problem will be getting from Central London to anywhere. No buses in Zone 1. No tubes anywhere. Most mainline services terminating outside central London. Good luck.

Shanks's Pony to Finsbury Park. I guess they will open the Mainline Stations by 5 ish. From what I have read all the trouble was on the Underground? correct me if I am wrong.

The bombs were on the underground and 1 bus. Plenty of scares, though, which will probably close stations intermittently. I can't see there being any more incidents. They have done what they set out to do. There were no more incidents on 9/11 after the 4 planes crashed.

JezP is also stuck in the city. They are hoping to open some of Kings Cross. His probem being getting from Southwark to Kings X

From the Sky News site 15.00 - Victoria, Euston and Paddington stations have re-opened. A spokesman for Network Rail said: "We hope to open St Pancras and Liverpool Street soon and also plan to start King's Cross's suburban services. So you will have to treck across town Mr Fandango

16:00, 7 July 2005 As a result of this morning's explosions in Central London, London Liverpool Street station was closed and no train services have operated into and out of the station from approximately 10.00am. London Liverpool Street is expected to reopen this afternoon and most scheduled train services will operate on 'one' routes out of Liverpool Street from 16.00. London Liverpool Street to Norwich mainline services will operate a special timetable with departures from London every hour at 30 minutes past the hour commencing from 16.30. Services from Norwich to London will depart Norwich every hour on the hour. Passengers requiring information on 'one' train services should call the 'one' Customer Service Centre which today will be open throughout the evening and all night. The number to call is 0845 600 7245. Updates will also be provided on the 'one' website http://www.onerailway.com. In the end I walked to Finsbury Park and got the train from there. Rather off putting having the bomb sniffing dog working whilst standing there but had to be done. Dare I say it but good organisation by the WAGN people at FP.

I was just logging on to say the same thing about WAGN! I also made the long walk to Finsbury Park, fully expecting to be sitting at the station for a very long time (which I would have understood). They were however really organised, running trains alternately to the different destinations, and only letting passengers onto the platforms when their train was there, queing up the others. Lots of staff on hand to run the operation.
