racquet restringing
Does anyone know where I might get my squash racquet restrung while I wait? Tried Scott's Sports but it takes a week there as they only do it off-premises.

Not being a sporty type but had a thought - have you tried the Squash section at HRFC, they might have some info

Blimey you must be a good player then £100 for a bat. TBH Tony the smooth talking bar steward at HRFC 01920 462975 should be able to point you in the right direction and sign you up as a member!!

Yes, Tennis Bat, Sqaush Bat, Golf Bat, Cricket Bat. I prefer to call them all bats. Quirky Eh!

Did you find anywhere locally in the end? My badders racquet (or should I say bat) needs doing as soon as possible and a while you wait establishment would be preferred.

This is when you need a proper sports shop - like ARENA Sports. Oh for the days of Dick Gay's grumpy welcome and twice yearly closing down sales. At least he could re-string a tennis/badders/squash bat on site. And he sold a good selection of proper cricket bats, hockey bats, decent clothing and rugger boots, as well as kickball stuff.
There is a place in Enfield called Smith & Sons that is a proper sports shop that might serve your needs. Henry Tilley in Cheshunt is also a proper sports shop. Not sure if either does re-stringing though.

No.
In the end I was put in touch with someone through work who owns a restringing machine and he did it for me for the cost of the string plus a couple of pints.
