Price of Beer..........

Stopped off at The Farmers Boy last night for a swift pint. Now in The Ram I pay £2.50 for a pint of the black stuff, The Baker Arms, will remove £2.65 from my pocket, but TFB reached the dizzy heights of.............................
£3.00
I must admit that I shan't be drinking there again, as that is daylight robbery. I expect Baroosch to be a bit pricey, and perhaps some of the restaurants, but not a local pub.

That is outrageous, i hate paying above £2.70 for ordinary lager like fosters or carling

Sadly I remember saying i would never pay more than £1 for a pint. That lasted all of 10 mins. Do you think if the great drinking public went on strike the breweries would lower their prices?

The Brewers know that would never happen in big enough numbers to have an impact.

A boycott of the beer pumps might not work. But sticking to the cheaper pubs surely will. Have you noticed that often its the Mcmullen pubs that are the most pricey.

And the difference in Macs pubs can be totally disproportionate - 40p dearer to drink a pint of their own bitter in the Woolpack as opposed to the Millstream. Head office came out with one pub is managed, the other tenanted, blah blah blah....

Bottle of Chablis in the Salisbury £14.00 same bottle in Baroosh 100 yards up the road £18.00 (Approx prices) is that cos its further from the Macs Depo????
You pay up for the surroundings in Hertford now im afraid.
Count youselfs luck that you do not have a bunch of Hoogarden drinkers in your midsts!!!!!!
