The whole scheme looks like b******s to me. How many people are really coming into Hertford from elsewhere? There is already a good public transport infrastructure from all parts of Hertford and most of Ware into Hertford Town Centre yet people still drive in and park. And there is still the fact that the A414 goes right through the middle of Hertford anyway so people will still be driving through anyway.

There was an unsuccessful Park & Ride at County Hall, you see to get to it to park your car there you have to go through Hertford, defeating the object! Lets just cut to the chase, we need a bypass to help those not working/shopping/living in Hertford to get through and those of that do and want to can motor around okay...

I agree with Drama Queen, Hertford is a nightmare during the rush hours. Thats probably why drivers take the short cuts (St.Andrews Street and through bengeo), sitting in slow queuing traffic on gascoyne way is no fun.

psychologically it is better to keep moving (through Bengeo) than to sit in a queue elsewhere in Hertford.

Don't think you;ll move very far in Bengeo. Transco et al are replacing gas mains to most of Molewood Estate (the Avenue to you and I and surrounding roads) its gridlock and and a nightmare!!!!
