Bar Licence Approved

A live music bar has had it's licence application approved on the second attempt.

Jungle Bar in Fore Street will be open at 9am every morning and stay open until 11pm on Sundays and Mondays, 11:30pm midweek and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Local residents had objected to the bar on noise and anti-social behavioir grounds. However, an environmental health officer told the District Council's licensing committee on Monday that a sound limiter had been installed and that noise below 112db could not be heard in two of the nearest residential properties.
