Hertford Calendar Launched

Hertford’s 2012 Calendar has gone on sale following its launch by the Mayor of Hertford, Cllr Sally Newton, at Hertford Castle.

The calendar displays photographs by the winners of a competition run by Hertford Town Council this summer.

Images include St Leonard’s Church in Bengeo, Hertford Castle and the Harts Horns pub.

The 2012 calendar competition saw the youngest ever winner, with 10 year old Marcus Blower’s photograph of Bailey Hall amongst those selected.

The calendar costs £6.99 and is available from the Hertford Town & Tourist Information Centre, Hertfordshire Graphics, Kids Connection and the Riverside Garden Centre.

Cllr Sally Newton said: "The competition entries were of a high standard, and the judging panel had a very tough job in selecting 13 photographs for the months and the calendar cover. I think it provides an excellent range of images of our town, and I hope people will send it to friends and family in other parts of the country and the world this Christmas so that scenes of Hertford are shared with those who are not lucky enough to live here.".
