An attempted smash and grab at Hinds jewellers is being investigated by police.
The incident took place on Monday morning in Maidenhead Street when a man descibed as tall and thin used a hammer to try and smash the shop window. When he was unable to break the glass he ran off.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area to contact them. They have also released a CCTV image of the suspect, who is described as being tall and thin, aged in his early 20s and possibly of Turkish ethnicity. He was wearing a grey beanie hat and blue jeans.
