Candidates for the forthcoming town and district council elections have been announced.

Three town councillors are standing down: Dorothy Hone, Beryl Wrangles and former Mayor Kim Darby.
There are 31 candidates standing for 16 seats, mostly from the Labour and Conservative parties but with two independents standing, Jom Thornton and Angela Emsly. There are no LibDem candidates.
In the district election there are 22 candidates chasing 12 seats, again with no LibDem participation.
The election takes place on Thursday 5th May.
