Developers are to appeal after being refused planning pemission for 100 new homes, shops and a hotel.

The Zog Group want to demolish the former police station bewteen Ware Road and Stansted Road and build 90 flats, 36 houses, an 80 bed hotel, two shops and a nursing home, together with parking for 258 cars.
The plans were rejected by the District Council in December last year because the developer had failed to prove that there were no alternative sites for the hotel.
