A new clip posted on YouTube shows scenes of archive footage of Hertford town centre in 1961.
The short film about the work of a Hertfordshire Mercury reporter has been posted by the British Film Institute.
The film opens with scenes of a town council meeting at Shire Hall during which plans are approved for a swimming pool on Hartham Common.
Further scenes show the reporter walking around the town centre, including Maidenhead Street, Sailsbury Square and Railway Street.
