Bike Shop Closes

Marshall's Cycles in Fore Street has closed down, blaming parking problems and business rates for the closure.

After trading in the town for 16 years, originally in Railway Street, Steve Marshall has decided tio shut up shop and focus on his two stores in Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage. 

Mr.Marshall commented that that his Welwyn shop was significantly larger but attracted lower rates.

The closure means that Halfords in Railway Street is now the town's sole cycling outlet.

The Hertfordshire Mercury reports that Ware bike store Highway Cycles may open a store in Hertford if suitable premises could be found.
