Assault In The Wash

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after an assault in Hertford at the weekend.

The incident took place in The Wash at 7.10pm on Sunday (25th September). It is believed a 42 year old man from Hertford was assaulted by three men. He received serious injures to his head and face and is currently in the Princess Alexander Hospital in Harlow in a serious but stable condition.

The first offender is described as white, aged between 35 and 40, approximately 6ft 2ins tall and wearing a blue t-shirt and dark jeans.

The second offender is described as white, aged between 35 and 40, approximately 6ft tall, with blonde hair and wearing a red tracksuit. 

The third offender is described as white, aged 35, with lots of facial hair and wearing a black bomber jacket which had orange lining, jeans, a baseball cap and carrying a rucksack.

PC Janet Hollis from the Local Crime Unit in Hertford said: "This was a very violent attack which led to the victim loosing consciousness and being left with very serious injuries".

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the assault or be able to identify the offenders to come forward as soon as possible".
