Rock At The Castle

Hertford's annual rock festival takes places in the grounds of Hertford Castle on the first Sunday of August.

The free music festival is organised by the town council and sees thousands of visitors return year on year toi see both local acts on those from further afield.

For 2015 the council were so overwhelmed at the quantity and quality of acts that they decided to add an Acoustic Garden stage to the event, set in the Castle Moat Garden and designed to be a mellow relaxing area with a folk inspired feel. Yoga massages and meditation are offered for those who want to chill out and listen to something softer than the main Rock Stage.

In addition, Hertford Town Council have also organised a DJ Tent, which will be set across the River Lea on the Island. With house music pumping, the DJ tent provides an alternative for visitors who aren’t into the Indie, Rock genre.

Parking is available nearby in St.Andrew Street car park or any of the town's other car parks.
